Rain rain rain
We’re wishing for some rain in my part of the world right now.
Rain can be beautiful and calming, but also could be blinding and a bit destructive. Such a tricky act of nature…. let’s draw it!
Draw three of your favorite things in the rain. They can be anything, your computer, a favorite painting, even a rhino, if you just happen to like rhinos a lot.

Choose any 3 numbers between 0 and 10.
You now have to create a creature using those numbers like so…
First number chosen = How many legsSecond number = How many arms
Third number = How many heads

Bonus- Choose any 6 numbers between 0 and 20
Create a creature using the number like this…
First number = eyes
Second number = Heads
Third number = legs
Fourth number = bodies
Fifth number = arms
Sixth number = accessory features (like tails, wings, fins, feather plumes etc.)

Zombies seem all the rage now, try to draw an image of the common zombie ideal, but in a non-zombie pose. Maybe one doing ballet, or golfing, or swimming..  something you wouldn’t expect a zombie to do.

Remember zombies don’t have to be bloody or gory if that is something you’d rather not draw. They can just have different skin tones, and look more haggard.

Bonus- Draw a zombie interacting smoothly with a normal human.. no biting or attacking, just some form of interaction. Now by smoothly, I mean to challenge you to make your zombie identifiable as such, but keep the interaction human enough that the zombie doesn’t look stiff or broken.

Draw the human body in an exciting motion… jumping, hula-hooping, doing martial arts…. heck maybe even just falling down.

Bonus- Counter the original movement of the body and the flow of clothing with something else… be it wind, some object, or some other person.
The trick is still emphasizing the force of movement, even if that movements flow is interrupted.

Draw a figure (human or animal) using only horizontal or vertical stripes. Do not vary the thickness, instead, try to show contour by breaking the lines at various points. Shade using lines between lines, but the same thickness and no touching.

Bonus- Include a foreground and background, but find a way to keep figures distinct from the surroundings.

Imagine you were the size of an ant… you look up… what would you see?? Draw this… use some extreme perspective to emphasize your and the viewers smallness.

Bonus- Include your-tiny-self in the drawing. What would you find to wear in such a tiny situation?? A pencil shaving? A petal from a small flower?

Hand practice! Don’t hate me for this one guys. ^_^

Draw your name in the American Sign Language alphabet, I’ll give you a link for reference..

Don’t just draw the hands though, fit them together, embellish them, add rings or Henna… make them more than -just- hands…

Bonus- Embellish them only with things that start with that letter..  For example the T could have tattoos of tigers… the R could have rings and rhinestones…

I really can’t wait for cold and flu season to be over… then again allergy season is beginning too…
Try to remember the last time you had a tough sickness, draw out a visualization of it as a living being…  You could make it a person, animal, or something totally imagined. Draw roughly, but with much detail to accentuate the terrible way a sickness attacks the body.

Bonus- Do not clean up or refine the drawing… but color it with no more than two colors.

We’ve all seen the movie posters or the most iconic images of our favorite movies… Lets try to redesign them!
Draw a movie poster for your favorite movie, but change up as much as you can, while still sticking with the basic plot. Keep main plot points… you could simplify to those completely. Or maybe you could pull focus more towards a side story… or even a comic relief character.

Oooh! I’ve been hearing so many things about the new PS4! I am excited for new gaming, but also so curious about what it will look like.
Try drawing your idea of what the PS4 might look like. Do you think they’re stick with the bloated look of the PS3??? Will they slim it down? Or finally add a bit more color?? Don’t forget the controllers…
