This is for the cyborg prompt. Half organic being half machine and the first machine I though of was a toaster uvu lolz idk
Draw your room, or your favorite room in your house… but draw it cover in ice and snow, as though the roof disappeared for the winter. Do you think animals might have gotten in too? Draw them as well.
Bonus- forget the walls, imagine all the things from the room were perfectly arranged, but outside with no room to confine them. How would they look then? What would their backdrop be? What other animals may be living or visiting the area?
It is becoming crazy cold… I have what seems to be a nest of blankets and quilts, it is my favorite cozy spot! Try drawing your favorite cozy spot.. or if you haven’t got one, draw what your ideal warm and comfy spot would look like. If you decide to color this, stick with very pale shades.. even if it is a dark spot.
With zero submissions, and the holidays coming up, posting here may get even slower.
Please don’t forget that you can submit your own prompts, and even finished projects.
Money.. Every country has a different kind. It is fascinating to someone who is used to their own currency to see another country’s money. So while your local currency can be boring, draw it anyway, draw all of it… coins, bills, fill a page with all the money you can, then make it interesting. Did someone draw on some of the bills? Do some of the coins look old, rough, and mangled?
If you decide to use color, I think this would be a wonderful time to use colored ink pens, and avoid coloring the money realistically at all.. but I think this would be an awesome project to try various media on. ^_^
Party time!! Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been without internet, now finally got it back… so it feels like a party.
So lets draw a party! Take a page or canvas landscape style, and fill it with people. Truly, a BUNCH of people. No less than ten. Then fill up every teensy bit of blank space too, confetti, lights, posters, treats, drinks, mess.. fill the page. Now with items, and people try to convey as much motion as you can.. people animatedly talking, or dancing, drinks spilling, balloons bouncing. Make this drawing look as loud as a party should sound.
Pick an animal, any kind at all, now draw it in the rain. You cab draw an animal all cozy in its den or cave with rain splashing outside, or standing in the rain foraging or hunting.. Maybe even draw fish reacting to the splashes on the surface of their pond.
Lets draw some cyborgs! Part organic being, part machine. I want you to try and draw a duo, a team of sorts… it has to be two different species, but both must be part machine or robot..
Bonus- Try sketching your duo in different styles, like a comic style, pr steampunk style…. and in different settings, a suburban street, or in the midst of a forest fire…
Draw a figure drawing, any pose you like, but draw it with a chisel tip marker, or calligraphy pen. As usual, don’t try to make everything perfect… just play with the lines, where would they look better at full thickness? Where would they look better thinner?
Bonus- Try drawing only one side of your figure, as though only drawing the shadows cast by a super bright light. See if you can still define your pose without using one side of your figure.
